4 Steps to creating an inviting space.
When you think “organized,” what pops into your head first?
Most of us picture a space—a tidy closet, a clear desk, a made bed. But being organized really touches everything: your home, calendar, and routines. (Martha Stewart breaks it down this way in her book Organized.)
Trying to fix all three at once is overwhelming, so start with one area. My vote? Your home. When your home feels calm and peaceful, it’s so much easier to tackle your schedule and habits. It gives your brain (and your energy) room to breathe.
Once you pick a room—bedroom is a great place to start—focus on:
Declutter: Let go of what you don’t use or love.
Organize: Use baskets, shelf dividers, clear bins, shoe boxes, etc.
Decorate: Choose a simple color palette and add pillows, candles, plants, or renter-safe wallpaper.
Maintain: Set aside a few quick tidy-up sessions each week.
