3 ideas to consider..
DIY decorating doesn’t have to be daunting. If you’re ready to try it yourself, start with these three ideas:
1) Lead with sentiment.
Layer in pieces that mean something—Grandma’s hand-stitched throw, your great-aunt’s vintage hats, Uncle Joe’s record player and a few favorite albums. Display them proudly to add warmth and a real sense of home.
2) Go bold (your way).
Color is life. If you love neutrals, sprinkle color with throw pillows, art, a small rug—or plants (my favorite). Greenery brings instant energy and looks amazing with whites, creams, and beiges.
3) Thrift with a plan.
Before you shop, decide what you’re hunting for, measure the spot, set a budget, and keep an open mind. You might find something unexpected that’s absolutely perfect—like the just-right table for that record player.
